The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports a dead man and two others injured in the Israeli attack on a vehicle.

The Israeli army once again bombed Syria, saying that it had killed a member of Hamas during an air strike in the south of the country, in the last in its series of attacks against Syria following the eviction of former President Bashar al-Assad last December.

In a statement on Telegram on Sunday morning, the Israeli army said it had struck the alleged member of Hamas in the Mazraat Beit Jin region.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a person had been killed and that two others were injured in the Israeli attack targeting a vehicle in the city near the United Nations Tampon area for the United Nations.

Hamas has not yet commented on the death of the alleged member.

The observatory says that Israel has led 61 attacks – 51 per plane and 10 per soil – in Syria so far this year.

Two rockets launched in Syria targeted Israel earlier this week, one first since the fall of al-Assad.

Two groups claimed the responsibility of the attack.

The first group, named “Martyr Mohammed Deif Brigades”, is a little -known group named after the Hamas military commander who was killed last year. A second little -known group, the “Islamic resistance front in Syria”, called for an action against Israel in southern Syria a few months ago.

Israel struck southern Syria shortly after, the Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz saying that he was holding “directly responsible” Syria.

Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, ASAAD Al-Shaibani, condemned Israel’s attacks and called them “coordinated provocations aimed at undermining the progress and stability of Syria”.

“These actions create an opening for prohibited groups to exploit the resulting chaos,” he said, adding: “Syria has clearly indicated that we are not looking for war, but rather reconstruction”.
