Bath Rugby announced that Finn Russell had signed a new contract that would keep the British & Irish Lion with the club until June 2028.
The half-flies joined Bath in 2023 for a three-year contract and made 45 appearances, marking 420 points all the competitions, including four trials.
He finished 2024/25 with 183 points in the Premiership while the club obtained the national and European treble. He will now appear on the British & Irish lions tour in Australia, which you can watch live Sky Sports.
Lions coverage starts on Friday when they face Argentina in the first live tour match Main Sky Sports event From 7 p.m.
Given his involvement in the final triumph of Bath of Bath, Russell is not involved in the first day of the Lions door 23, but should contest for the starting jersey for the three test series against the Wallabies.
During his contract extension, Russell said: “I loved my stay here in Bath. It’s a big team and a big club. We have gone a long way in the past two years, and I’m really looking forward to staying here and seeing what the club can do.
“Fans have been exceptional since my arrival. We have had big results at home and it’s just our way of restoring fans and trying to represent them in the right way.”

Speaking of the extension of the Russell contract, the Bath leader of rugby Johann Van Graan said: “It is an incredible news.
