Leeds United have submitted an offer worth more than 25 million pounds sterling to sign an old Championship Title winner for Daniel Awake.
The whites and the 49ers Enterprises have made early progress in the summer transfer window, Lukas Nmecha agreeing to move to Elland Road on a two -year contract from July 1.
The German striker will leave Wolfsburg for Leeds and will not cost the 49ers a penny, offering competition to Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph.
At the rear, Leeds should now sign the central defender Udinese Jaka Bijol after weeks of talks and rumors. International Slovenia was in Yorkshire on Wednesday and will be next through the Elland Road door.
With the list of elements announced, Leeds still has a lot of time until their first match of the Premier league Enter against Everton and hopes to make more additions after Nmecha and Bijol.
Another striker is sought alongside Nmecha, and a superior target seems to be that of Fulham Rodrigo Muniz.
Sky sports reports in recent days have affirmed Leeds was interested in signing the Brazilian This summer.
According to the evening standard, Leeds made an offer worth 26 million pounds initial sterling to bring Muniz to Yorkshire. The offer also included a value of 6 million pounds sterling, however, those of Craven Cottage refused the offer of the 49ers.
Fulham considers Muniz “as one of the most precious assets of the club”, but “they can be forced to consider its release if an offer too good to refuse arrives”.
It is added that “Leeds plans to sign a higher attacker this summer, but should go to other targets now that their offer for Muniz has been postponed”.

The 24 -year -old, who won the title of champion with Fulham in 2021/22, scored 17 Premier League goals in the past two seasons in the equivalent of just over 28 full games.
He also drew the attention of the Premier League icon Alan Shearerwho called Muniz “horrible to play against” in 2024.
“It was really a handful. Difficult to play, horrible to play actually. It’s always a good thing for a central center, that’s what you need to be.
“He was strong, he directed the channels, he brought the players in the match and he really upset the defenders of Bournemouth in all directions, in everything he was doing. He was ready to run behind and on the occasions he does, they got their first goal because of this.
“They (Fulham) put bullets in the box for him and he was first reacted. He understood the situation and arrived first. He burst the defenders and I really appreciated his performance. This is what you have to do.”
For the moment, however, it seems that Leeds will have to seek elsewhere their signature of the first attacker.
