England Tommy Fleetwood is satisfied with the way he rebounded in his open American disappointment after dismissed for his first PGA Tour victory in the traveler championship.
The 34 -year -old man had a brilliant four Final Four holes at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut – the last signature event of the season – with two eagles and a birdie, with another putt at the last brushing of the hole.
His round of 65 set it aside from the head on Nine Under with the No. 1 of the World and the title champion Scottie Scheffler, who was less on Friday, and the double major winner Justin Thomas, who dazzled with six under 64.
Rory McILroy, n ° 2, which was two of the first round advance, had a frustrating day with more than 71 by bringing it four.
Fleetwood, who has not won anywhere for almost 18 months, had four TOP-10 of the PGA Tour this season but missed his first cup of the year during the US Open last week.
“You do a lot of sulk, then look at what you can do to improve. Very disappointed last week,” he told Sky Sports.
“I had a good season and I felt like my game was in a very good place before last week.
“For any reason – I will never understand the game – I played really poor but golf, still another week ago and this week is a big week.
“I got out motivated to take everything there is to learn to improve for the next few weeks and so far this week, I am satisfied with the way I have bounced.”
The Fleetwood round was going nowhere with a birdie and a Bogey through 12 holes until it reaches a superb approach of 261 yards from the 13th by five and drives its new feet for Eagle.
He then cut from the front of the driving of 299 yards driving for Eagle and picked up another blow after hitting his tee shot at 12 feet to the next.
At the last time, he only succeeded at 205 yards after his ball caught a tree but pierced nine wood at 11 feet at 226 yards but could not end with a birdie.
“I would have liked to lock up the putt, but I would take four after this kick,” added Fleetwood, for whom the first prize of 2.6 million pounds sterling would stimulate his prospects of Ryder Cup while he is currently sitting in place of the six automatic qualifying tops.
The teammate of the Ryder Cup of Fleetwood, Mcilroy, had three bogeys in his first four holes while he was running in a three out of 38, although three birdies in his following six holes recovered the damage.
But he failed to get the most out of a huge luck in the 17th where his approach to a bunker jumped from the lake in the fairway only to flow his 13 feet jet and failed to trace his putt by.
