At least four Palestinians, including a teenager, were killed in an occupied West Bank, where the soldiers have made fatal raids for months and the settlers have been unleashed violently against civilians without control, supported by the army.
The teenager was shot dead by Israeli forces, while the other three Palestinians were killed during an attack by Israeli settlers against the city of Kafr Malek, northeast of Ramallah. Seven others were injured in the settlers’ attack.
Dozens of Israeli settlers attacked the city, vehicles and fire houses while residents of neighboring villages were trying to face them, local sources said. Israeli troops have assured the settlers and fired life.
Palestine Red Crescent Society said that he had treated at least five injured Palestinians who had been shot wounds, some in serious condition.
Palestinian vice-president Hussein Al-Sheikh said the settlers acted “under the protection of the Israeli army”.
“We call on the international community to intervene urgently to protect our Palestinian people,” he added, in a message on X.
In the other fatal incident, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Israeli troops have shot down a 15-year-old Palestinian boy during a raid on Al-Yamoun, a city west of Jenin.
The ministry identified the teenager as Rayan Tamer Houshieh and said he had succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the neck.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that his teams had treated “a very critical case” in Al-Yamoun, involving a teenager, before pronouncing it dead.
The Al-Yamoun incident marked the second time that a teenager was reported in the occupied territory in two days.
On Monday, the Ministry of Health said that Israeli fires killed a 13 -year -old child, identified as Ammar Hamayel, in Kafr Malek.
The occupied West Bank is home to more than 3 million Palestinians who live under a severe Israeli military regime, the Palestinian authority governing in limited areas cut from each other by a myriad of Israeli control points.
Israel has so far built more than 100 colonies through the West Bank, which houses around 500,000 settlers – Israeli citizens illegally living on private Palestinian land in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.
Although the genocidal war of Israel in Gaza attracted more attention, the Palestinian suffering in occupied West Bank was acute, with hundreds of deaths, thousands of displaced people, demolitions of houses and significant destruction since October 7, 2023.
The office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHC) in Palestine expressed its alarm in the face of the “wave of renewed violence” by the Israeli colonists and the armed forces in the West Bank at the start of the year.
“Israel must immediately and completely cease all the activities of regulation and evacuate all the colonists, stop the forced transfer of the Palestinian population and prevent and punish attacks by its security forces and their colonists,” said the High Commissioner for United Nations Human Rights, Volker Turk.
In addition, earlier on Wednesday, a 66 -year -old woman was killed in the head and killed by Israeli forces during a raid on the Shu’fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem occupies, according to several local media.
The governor of Jerusalem identified the woman as Zahriya Joudeh al-Obaid.
Her husband, Joudah al-Obeidi, a 67-year-old resident on the camp, said his wife was standing on the roof of their house when Israeli forces stormed the region. He confirmed that the police had shot him in the head and that he had made no threat.
Like other refugee camps in the regions occupied by Israeli, Shu’fat has experienced repeated Israeli raids which often cause deaths, injuries and arrests.
In northern West Bank, large -scale military incursions in Jenin and its refugee camp, as well as Tulkarem and the Nur Shams refugee camp, led to a generalized destruction and displacement of at least 40,000 people, according to UN figures.
Since Israeli forces launched its last operation in Jenin 156 days ago, at least 40 Palestinians were killed, according to the WAFA news agency.
