Six people died Floods in the Chinese province of Guizhousaid state media, after more than 80,000 people were driven from their homes this week.
The cities and villages by a key river in Chinese Guangxi were half overwhelmed while the flood waters of an upstream province rugged in the mountainous region, with the expected landing of a tropical cyclone later to worsen the risk of disaster.
The floods that overwhelmed the counties of Rongjiang and Congjiang in the province of Guizhou on Tuesday spread downstream in other parts of southwest China, including rural colonies in Guangxi by the Liu river, which comes from Guizhou.
On Thursday, the CCTV state broadcaster said that “exceptionally important floods” had swept the County of Guizhou in Rongjiang since Tuesday.
China hardens an extreme summer.
This week, the authorities have issued the second highest heat warning for the capital, Beijing, one of its warmest days of the year so far.
Tens of thousands of people were evacuated last week in the province of Hunan – neighboring Guizhou – due to heavy rains.
