I entered my adolescence in the era of Cavid-19, when the world faced a lot of changes. I also learned, faced and survived several changes.
There were many things that happened both: an online education platform, puberty, gaining weight, growth of acne on my face. I started to underestimate myself for several reasons, in part because of the pressure of peers and partly because of the perceived competition.
You enter a dilemma where you look at other people and decide that you are not so good. Even if you have the potential to reach a zenith, the competition you see there makes you think that you will not be able to achieve it. This leads to feelings of insecurity and doubt of self. You feel misunderstood. The list does not stop there.
I tried to practice sports professionally and I am preparing for an exam called NEET – for the entry test of national eligibility, which is required in India to be admitted to a undergraduate medical course.
Both fields are extremely competitive.
Sometimes, even I deeply plunge into thought that I am not enough capable.
I realized that you were not able to. You were born with the potential to become so capable. To use this potential, you must believe in you. Your competitors are not the others; This is the previous version of yourself.
Little by little, I grew up and I started to understand certain aspects of life through different perspectives. When it happened, things were never the same. I would like to share what I learned.
First of all, you don’t have to strive stronger to come in someone’s good books. You don’t have to try constantly to adapt to societal standards, just so that you can call yourself normal or worthy to be a resident of your cultural environment.
Accept reality. Make your inner child happy and satisfied rather than restricting yourself to the expectations of society. This is what ultimately matters.
Second, you enter your adolescence period when you start to face competition between your age group. After comparing yourself to others, you will tend to undervalue yourself. For this reason, you try to shape your personality in such a container that hides your originality. When you do this, you lose contact with your inner self.
Instead of molding your personality, try to kiss. By doing this, you polish your own personality instead of trying to integrate into something that is not for you. This world does not want you false or invented, but would appreciate your unique style.
Third, in the world of diversions, find the management that attracts you the most. To achieve more important things in life, you must also apply and master the art of priority. Give your best in your strong point and always make a size for an improvement.
At the same time, learn to express your gratitude and satisfy your achievements. Try to appreciate your achievements, no matter how small or large they could be.
Fourth, with regard to your career, choose the path that excites you the most. And when I say the word “excite”, I do not want to say the income or benefit you do but the work you do. If you are just working for payment, the chances of enjoying your work will be less. As an entrepreneur Alex, Hormozi, said, “a targeted fool can accomplish more than a distracted genius”.
A targeted fool is someone who may not have the integrated talent of something, but enough hunger and persistence to make this person capable of achieving it.
Even if you were born with the real potential to do something, but you do not leave your comfort zone to try it, you can never convert your dreams into reality.
To do something, don’t look at the competition you have. Your only goal should be your dream and the scale you need to climb to reach your ambition.
You must therefore decide if you should channel your intelligence and your mind. Education is the best jewel that a person can have. It is also the only thing that cannot be stolen or removed from you.
Finally, Yolo – You only live once! When you look in the mirror, breathe deeply. Be proud according to yourself. You have survived all the challenges you have encountered so far.
Finally, be blessed enough to breathe more!
1. Why do people tend to compare themselves to others?
2. What challenges did you meet in your life?
3. What is one thing you do well?
