Jeff Bezos apparently tries to capitalize on the recent blast Between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, according to a new report Wall Street Journal.
Bezos spoke to Trump twice this month, sometimes discussing more government contracts for his Blue Origin space company, according to the report. Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp also visited the White House to meet Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles. Bezos would have even invited Trump to his next wedding in Venice, Italy.
Interactions with the White House occurred after Musk and Trump spent days riding on social networks. The founder of SpaceX said that the president was “in Epstein files” and said that it was why they “had not been made public”. Trump, on the other hand, threatened to withdraw “billions and billions of dollars” from government grants and contracts that go to musk companies.
While this quarrel cools quickly, Bezos seems to have felt an opportunity for blue origin – especially after Trump has drawn the appointment of Musk’s favorite choice to direct NASA. Musk pushed hard to concentrate SpaceX (and NASA) on the missions towards Mars, while the short -term plans of Blue Origin are more oriented around the missions to the Moon. In recent conversations, Trump “discussed with Bezos his desire to see an equivalent mission on the moon during his mandate,” said the report.
