Political scientist Vali Nasr warns that the United States “has no speed change options” in Iran.
The direct involvement of the United States in Israel’s unreported attack on Iran has been a dangerous decision, supports Vali Nasr, professor of international affairs and the history of the Middle East at Johns Hopkins University.
A few hours before the announcement of a ceasefire between the United States, Israel and Iran, Nasr told the host Steve Clemons that “the United States has no option to change diet in Iran” and should be wary of the humiliation of Tehran, which would cause long-term consequences.
Nasr argues that the 12-day war was supposed to establish the domination of Israel as the first power of the Middle East, supported by Washington, without place for the Challengers.
