England and Saracens Hooker Jamie George were called to the tour of the British and Irish lions a week after the first test against Australia.

Cowan-Dickie was stretched from the field after seeming to be eliminated when he made a tackle and even if he was seen walking on the ground at halftime, he faces a spell on the touch that forced the Lions to look for reinforcements.
“He is (cowan-dick) good and in a good mood,” said head coach Farrell Sky Sports.
“He got up immediately from the stretcher. It is unfortunate for him and it looked like a concussion. We will see what doctors say.”

George was to co-captain in England during his second test against Argentina on Saturday, but will rather go to Australia during his third Lions tour after presenting in New Zealand in 2017 and South Africa in 2021.
Saracens Hooker Theo Dan replaces George in England who begins XV in San Juan, with Curtis Langdon of Northampton joining the replacements.
“We are absolutely delighted with Jamie’s selection,” said England coach Steve Barthwick.
“It is also a fantastic opportunity for Theo and Curtis, who both worked incredibly hard and really impressed in training.
“They fully deserve this chance, we are just behind them, and we are all delighted to see them go there and have an impact.”
Ringrose out of the first test with a concussion
Garry Ringrose is not available for the first test of the British and Irish lions against Australia on Saturday after the head coach Andy Farrell confirmed that he had a hard time with a concussion.
Ringrose underwent a head injury during Wednesday’s victory over the Brumbies act and faces a minimum period of 12 days, preventing him from participating in the opening of the series in Brisbane.
“Garry had a delayed reaction. He had headache for a day and continued for the next day, so he followed concussion protocols and failed,” said Farrell.
“Unfortunately for him and for us, he has 12 days, which puts him out of the first test and back for the match in the middle of the week before the second test (against First Nations & Pasifika XV on July 22).
“You are not playing with these things and it’s unfortunate for him and everyone. He’s in a good mood anyway so we are cracking.”
