Hundreds of demonstrators gather in kyiv to oppose the measurement, in a demonstration of antigo -government anger, rarely seen since Russia launched its large -scale invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a bill that would revoke the autonomy of the main anti-corruption agencies, a plan that sparked rare street demonstrations in the capital, Kyiv.
Critics say that the legislation consolidates power in the hands of Zelenskyy and will allow government interference in cases of high -level corruption.

“The bill is rushed,” Anastasia, 26 -year -old game designer, told the AFP news agency.
“It is clear that this is a targeted effort,” she added.
The bill will grant the prosecutor the new authority for investigations and cases dealt with by the National Anti-Corruption Office of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Office of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor (SAPO).
Nabu studies cases of corruption among state institutions, while SAPO continues corruption.
The adoption of the bill by the Parliament aroused strong criticism from the heads of the two agencies, and the civic demonstrations were the most important since the large -scale invasion of Russia in 2022.
Many influential Ukrainians have also been unleashed on social networks after Tuesday’s vote, saying that it was a betrayal of the geopolitical ambition of the decade of Ukraine.

On Monday, the internal security agency of Ukraine arrested two officials of the Nabu suspected of links with Russia and searched other employees of the agency on unrelated allegations.
Nabu has revealed widespread corruption, including among the figures in Administration of Zelenskyy.
