PSG 2 – 2 spurs

Tottenham was beaten at UEFA Super Cup while Nuno Mendes sealed a shooting victory for the Saint-Germain de Paris after the late spurs in the detention of an advance from 2-0 to the 85th minute in Udine.

The goals of Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero on each side of half-time had seemed ready to give Thomas Frank a dream start during his first competition match at the helm, the Spurs keeping the winners of the Champions League at a distance for almost the whole match in Italy.

But as the Frank side was tired while PSG was rejuvenated by the introduction of Fabian Ruiz in particular, their defense was finally raped with five minutes to go while his other replacement Kang-in Lee was unleashed for a return from the edge of the box.

It seemed that Tottenham would still be able to keep a second trophy in less than three months until the head of the 94th minute of Goncalo Ramos sends the game to the penalty lottery.

Faithful to the form, they even took the lead during the shooting after Vitinha missed the first kick of PSG, but once Van de Ven and such failed to score 12 meters, Mendes intensified to cement their sorrow while the French champions bounced from their final defeat of the Club World Cup by the most bare margins.
