The Brazilian government has unveiled a plan to support local exporters affected by the 50% rate imposed by the United States.
The officials announced what was nicknamed “Sovereign Brazil”, a credit buoy of 30 billion reais ($ 5.5 billion) on Wednesday.
The president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, described the plan, which includes a bill to send to the congress, as a first step to help local exporters.

The prices have weighed considerably in the sectors of the South American nation, including the beef industry. In July, when Trump announced the plan for the first time, Robert Perosa, president of the Brazilian Brazilian Brazilian Associations (ABIEC) industry group, said the prices would make “economically impracticable” to continue exporting to the American market.
