Luke Littler will bid for the consecutive titles of the World Series of Darts under the Masters of Darts New Zealand this week.
A week after winning his first World Series title of the year in Australia, Littleler is again joined by seven other stars of the leading PDC – including World No. 1 and the title champion of the Luke Humphries tournament – during the event in Auckland from Friday.
As usual, the eight regulars of the PDC were attracted to local players in the region during the first round on Friday, with Humphries opposed to the own new player n ° 1 in New Zealand, Haupai Puha.
Littler confronts Mark Cleaver, while Stephen Bunting faces Ben Robb, a championship qualifier of the World Darts Championship.
There is a familiar face for the world n ° 7 Chris Dobey, who was attracted to the Australian Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock, the finalist of the 2010 DART World Championship.
The eight winners of the first round take action on Saturday when the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the last take place. The game begins at 8 a.m. in the United Kingdom on the two days of the tournament.
The New Zealand Darts Masters is the latest World Series event before the tournament final in Amsterdam from September 12 to 14.
