A 47 -year -old man from Liverpool was arrested after Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo, had been abused racily in the first match of the Premier League season, Merseyside police announced.
The strength said that the man was arrested on Saturday, suspected of an offense of public order racly aggravated and was arrested to be questioned.
Semenyo said he was abused racly by a spectator from referee Anthony Taylor, who stopped playing in the 29th minute on Friday and a 47 -year -old man was ejected from the Anfield stadium.
Semenyo was also subjected to racist abuses on Instagram on Friday evening. The 25-year-old shared some of the abuses in his story, with legend: “When will it stop?”

How the incident led to the suspension of the match
Arne Slot and Andoni Iraola were spoken by referee Taylor when the Anfield incident occurred, leading to the game break.
“I am told via the Premier League match center that Antoine Semenyo was the subject of a racist commentary on the crowd,” reported Sky Sports’ Peter Drury on comments.
“It was Semenyo himself who attracted him attention.”
Sky Sports’ Laura Hunter, present in Anfield, later reported that a fan was ejected from the stadium.
“In the wake of stopping the game after Semenyo said Racist has mistreated, Liverpool staff and police were in conversation on the side of the field and during half-time.
“And just before the start of the second half, we saw a fan escorted by police.”
Captain of Bournemouth, Adam Smith, described the incident as “unacceptable” while the head coach Iraola added: “It’s a great shame, most of the news will be on this thing. Obviously, it is something that is always a big problem, not only in football.
“On the side of Liverpool, they identified this person.”
