Oval Invincible Men set a new record for the highest total in the hundred with 226-4 when they won a convincing victory of 83 points on Welsh fires.

England Jordan Cox has marked an undefeated end 86 out of 29 balls – reaching 10 six – while the invincibles improved the 208-5 Manchester Originals score which was fixed against northern super chargers three years ago.

Invincible opening the pair Tawanda Muyeye (33) and Will Jacks (38) threw the foundations of the 25 ball powerplay.

Cox then delighted home support by smashing four six off Ajeet Singh Dale, who made his hundreds of beginnings. Sam Curran added a Swift 34 out of 19, with six and four consecutive limits.

Welsh Fire saw Stephen Eskinazi caught the first ball of their response from Jason Behrendorff.

Although Jonny Bairstow has undertaken to make a solid 50 and Tom Kohler-Cadmore added 31 out of 16, he never seemed to be enough.

The fire could only make 143, because Tom Curran finished with four counters from his 15 balls and Behrendorff took three.

The game was delayed in the first rounds and that the players left the field while Adam Hose received a medical treatment after an unpleasant shift on the limit on the side of the legs which saw him dislocate the ankle.

How do correspondences work?

  • One hundred team balls, the team with the most points wins. It’s as simple as that.
  • Five quitters can play up to 20 sleeve balls, including five or 10 in a row.
  • The traditional six -balls observed in other forms of cricket are not used in the hundred, with 10 balls overturned before a change of end.
  • The PowerPlay is for the first 25 balls in a round, with only two field players authorized outside the circle of 30 yards.
  • A game of 25 balls per side is the minimum duration that can be played in case of wet time.

The hundred continues with another day of four games on Sunday, with Original of Manchester take Northern super chargers in a double female and male chief of 11:30 am, before Birmingham Phoenix confront London Spirit From 3 p.m. – All live matches Sky Sports.
