Anthony Ibekwe prevailed in a very heavy war to win gold at the Riviera Box Cup.
William John McCarton, of the Gilford Club in Ireland, took a furious pace in his 92 and Torbay final. But the Finchley ABC Super-Las has been unleashed in a heavy combination to counter the Irishman when his gunshots failed.
Ibekwe worked well with its rear hand, landing a right uppercut at the end of a right hook. Even if McCarton cut him with a right hook himself, Ibekwe finished the opening lap with a smile.
At the end of the second, the Londonian breathed strongly and took the water, but he supported his own efforts in a good way to keep McCarton remotely.
In the final round, Ibekwe’s left hook connected and fierce head shots forced McCarton on the backfoot while the Finchley boxer won a good unanimous victory and the super heavy weight gold medal.
Giedale Stewart by Barton Hill is another very heavy weight that deserves to be watched. He impressed with quality boxing in the novice category, arresting Johnmara Aburamoia in the final. Stewart rocked the boxer by Chadwell St Mary with a heavy cross, before another own right saw a second account administered and finished the fight in the second round.
IBEKWE is raised in victory
Henry Murray, from Wolverhampton, watched Jamal Franklin de Blackbird Leys, Jamal Franklin, interrupting his twin brother Charles Murray, immediately before boxing his own final. He has always faced Dylan Burston from Bideford, an exciting lightweight confrontation. Murray sent thunderous crosses, but Burston exchanged with him and a solid finish saw the Bideford boxer put it on a tight but unanimous decision.
Hannah Jeffrey de Lord Mountbatten took control of his fly weight final with Charlie Miller from Blue Flames, crushing her in the third round and lining up a clear right. Miller was forced to hold and saw the competition with Jeffrey winning a unanimous decision.
Faye McCormick by Magic Hatton could not repeat his success of the Manchester Box Cup while Ella Doe, of CNC Christchurch, won a divided decision and the 54 kg gold medal.
Morris James de Blackbird Ley and Dre Patterson of Jabxing impressed by stop victories. James was relentless against Ollie Lee de Barum with shots forcing a third round ending their 75 kg final. Patterson is perhaps a 67 kg novice, but fought with a catchy style, leaping on Oliver from Stevennage in shooting him while he was crying in punches, winning inside the third round after having put three standing counts.
Host Club Featherweight judge, appointed after the character of Keanu Reeves The matrix Films, marauding forward with an always entertaining assault. His hard combinations harassed the Khurram Ali Shan of the ring, who continued to move but could not ward off the energetic torbay boxer. The judge made a unanimous decision and 57 kg of gold.
Harry Burke of Thurrock is a SouthPaw Chic that pulled its solid left cross in the brand against Liam Huntley in their 71 kg final. The Wolves Den boxer made his own punches, especially in the second round. But the quality of Burke shone with new rinsing left -handers that strike at home. They finished trading in Ring Center with Burke a good unanimous winner.
