Marquez continues his domination of the 2025 season with a first Crown of Austrian GP while it ends on the title of the riders.
The Champion of MotoGP six times Marc Marquez marked the 1,000th first class class race in history by winning the Austrian Grand Prix for the first time in his career to take a 142 -point lead on his brother Alex in the championship.
Having won the second row sprint on Saturday, Marquez won double Sprint-Race on Sunday for the sixth consecutive Grand Prix. The Spaniard has been undefeated since the British Grand Prix in May.
Since 2014, Marquez had won six consecutive victories in Grand Prix when he was approaching a seventh MotoGP crown with nine laps in the 2025 season.
Gresini Racing’s recruit, Fermin Aldeguer, found the rhythm of the late race to finish second while the aprili pole goalkeeper, Marco Bezzecchi, who kept a distance as long as he could, finished third. Alex Marquez finished 10th after serving a long -blow penalty.
“Super, super happy to finally win the first victory here in Austria,” said Marc Marquez.
“I am satisfied with six consecutive victories, but (I have to) keep the concentration. Next week, we have another race. ”
Bezzecchi had won his first pole with Aprilia on Saturday, and despite the fourth row of sprint, this time, he had the perfect launch to lead Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez first.
The two Ducatis went side by side in the first round when Marc Marquez briefly exceeded his teammate, but Bagnaia did not give up and resumed the place to stay in second position.
However, Marc Marquez took the same step on the next round to take second place and put the goal on Bezzecchi, while waiting for the right opportunity to jump.
“In the first part, he (Bezzecchi) was super strong, but I just waited. I tried at first, but it was too risky. Then I preferred to wait and attack at the end,” added the winner.
Alex Marquez took a bad start, and with a long -term penalty to cause an accident at the Czech Grand Prix, Marquez’s younger brother fell from the top 10 when he joined the field.
Bezzecchi absorbed the pressure, but Aprilia’s rider could not shake the red ducati trap.
Bagnaia was struggling with his bike, and he finally faded, giving way to Pedro Acosta and Aldeguer de KTM while the two young people were fighting for third place.
Bagnaia had been undefeated in Austria for three years, but it was a shadow of the ringmaster which had dominated the Ring Red Bull since 2022 when it had fallen in the eighth.
Marquez finally attacked the 19th round and exceeded the Aprilia, but Bezzecchi fell off and took first place in Spanish, eager to refuse him a first victory in the Ring Red Bull.
But Marquez was on the ascendant, and he finally broke the resistance of Bezzecchi in the next round, using the aprilia Slipstream to dive in the first round and take the lead.
While Bezzecchi made a futile attempt to trigger Marquez, Aldeguer made a game for second place, and Gresini’s recruit made her movement with five laps to make the first round to place herself behind Marquez.
Marquez responded to the challenge and kept Aldeguer remotely to take the checkered flag, but the recruit was on the moon with its best result in MotoGP.
“I am super happy because in the end, Austria is not one of my favorite songs like Le Mans,” he said. “Making two podiums on bad tracks for me is incredible.”
The 14th round of MotoGP World Championship will be held in Balaton Park in Hungary next weekend.
