Sky Sports Racing ambassador, Hollie Doyle, reacts to the loss of his mandate with the owner Imad Alsagar and previews his rides on the first day of the Ebork festival in York.
Unfortunately, I was informed on Friday that I had lost my longtime restraint with the main owner Imad Alsagar. It was a bit of a shock, especially at this stage of the season.
I have been part of the Imad operation for five years, out of 38 winners, including the highest level. We appreciated many winners of participations, winner of Royal Ascot and a classical winner with the wonderful Nashwa of the Diane Prize in 2022, followed by two other successes of group one.
I have only the greatest respect for Imad and I would like to thank him for giving me such an incredible opportunity at a stage of training in my career. I wish him and the team good luck in the future.
The show continues and I go to York on Wednesday for three trips on the day of opening the Ebord Festival, including Terror in the Sky Bet Stayers handicap (4.10).
Trained by Sinded Brian Ellison, the player of four versatile versatile in this extension of two thousands of light weight after having dominated a course and a distance handicap last month.
Also winner of obstacles in Cartmel in May, he is up 7 LB for his last exploits on the apartment and finds himself in a higher note but remains good, is effective on the rapid field of forecasts and can give him a good first leg to only 8th 2 LB.
I went up Jamie Inside Sole and Dr. Richard Newland Blue orbit at the Qatar Goodwood festival and associate it again in the Sky Bet Nursery Handicap (5.20) Wednesday.
Starman’s son was unlucky at Goodwood because we did not appreciate the clearest races, but I liked the way he acquitted. He was a free type, but clearly learns to run in the right way and could be well disabled by a reduced brand of 80.
I am not satisfied with my draw on the wing in stall one, but I always expect that he presents himself well for his stable on the mobile rise on the ground he should appreciate.
The opening Hong Kong Jockey Club World Pool Handicap (1.50) Wednesday, more than five and a half is fiercely competitive and I am on a Grand Prix Raider Cuban gray.
The gelding of Patrick McKenna, which I drove in Newcastle last year when he needed the release, held his shape at home, displaying a hard success in Curragh in July.
It is now 7 lb higher in the weights, but has not been beaten far from its current brand in difficult races at Curragh and Cork during its previous departures, so hope that you could surprise a few people in a race that requires much more.
I expect Aidan O’Brien Delacroix To confirm his superiority on Godolphin Mediator in an overview Juddmonte International Stakes (3.35) In York on Wednesday.
There was little between them on the line in the Eclipse Coral in Sandown, but nothing made the way to Delacroix that day, but he always found a way to win for the persistent Ryan Moore.
However, I hope the Japan Star Danon Decile will take the measure of the two for Keita Tosaki, against which I had the pleasure of riding in her country of origin last winter.
He is not only an adorable guy, but an exceptional jockey as he proved by guiding this four -year -old child to the glory of the Dubai Sheema Classic in the spring. Shogo Yasuda’s foal will love the track and has already proven its effectiveness on rapid ground.
Dual Derby Winner Lambourn is difficult to oppose in the Sky Bet Great Voltigent Stakes (3.00) In York on Wednesday – a race that he should gain on the road to a likely inclination at Betfred St Leger in Doncaster next month.
It is so clear on the notes that a group’s penalty should not pose any problems, but I would like to see Ralph Beckett Pride d’Arras Take a race for his return to the scene of his Dante victory in May.
Gelded since the two derbies, it represents a courtyard in good shape and could easily be revived by its return to the Knavesmire.
Hollie Doyle spoke to Sky Sports Racing Simon Mapletoft.
