A guide to use the changes, Meta’s Capcut Rival for the short-form video publishing

Meta recently published a new video publishing application For creators called modifications. The new application is designed to compete with Capcut de Bytedance, a popular short-circuit video editing application used by many creators.

Meta shared for the first time that he worked on changes in January after Capcut, belonging to Bytedance, was removed from American application stores when Tiktok’s ban entered temporary. Although the application is since returned online and is available for download, the future of Tiktok in the United States remains uncertain, so Meta is ready to capitalize on the possible absence of capcut in the future with its new application of modifications.

How to start with the application

The changes are available for download on both iOS And Android. Once you have downloaded the application and open it, you will be asked to connect with your Instagram account.

From there, you will see five main tabs: ideas, inspiration, projects, recording and ideas. The Ideas tab offers creators a space to note ideas for new videos and save coils with a collection, and the Inspiration tab offers a center to discover trendy audios and other popular coils.

The Project tab is the place where creators can store and revisit the videos they currently have in progress. This tab is also the place where creators can download videos from the roll of the camera on their phone.

The Record tab allows creators to start filming video content in changes.

Finally, the Insights tab gives creators an overview of how their content works by surfaceing metrics such as views, scope and the number of followers.

How do changes differ from Capcut?

Although the modifications and CAPCUT are excellent options to modify short videos, there are some differences between the two services.

Capcut offers more robust publishing options, including AI’s features, than changes. Of course, this can be expected because the changes are much more recent than Capcut. Meta will probably continue to create changes in the coming months and years, so we can expect to see more advanced features in the future. It should also be noted that CAPCUT has a larger musical library compared to changes.

Another difference is the fact that changes do not currently have a subscription offer (for the moment), but Capcut. While Capcut offers a free version, some of its advanced tools are locked behind a paying subscription. The changes are free, but it will probably change in the future, like Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said that subsequent versions of changes may include paid features.

In addition, although CAPCUT is available on the web, the changes are only mobile. However, this could change in the future.
