Anker remembers five other electricity banks on fire risks

Anker has issued its second product recall so far this month, warning customers that Five additional food banking models should stop being used “immediately due to the risk of overheating, cast iron, smoke or fire”.

“Although the probability of dysfunction is considered minimal, by abundance of caution, we decided to launch a voluntary global recall of several models of Anker Power Bank,” announced Anker. Concerns reflect those that Anker has mentioned in his Previous reminder of the A1263 PowerCore Model 10000 power banks Sold in the United States, the company announcing that it has identified a “potential problem” with lithium-ion batteries provided by one of its suppliers.

The following products are affected by the recall and can be identified by locating the model number at the rear or alongside the device:

Anker offers customers affected in the United States the choice of a free replacement feed bank or a gift card to be used on the Anker website. You can claim them by Submit a reminder complaint form On the Anker website alongside a serial number of checked product or proof of purchase.

While Anker reported purchasing dates between June 1, 2016 and December 31, 2022 for the recall of the A1263 model earlier this month, it did not detail similar calendar for the five additional electric banks, which are mainly more recent models. Some were still available for purchase before the company’s last announcement.

Anker says that all electricity banks affected by this recall must be eliminated safely in an installation that accepts lithium-ion batteries. Due to the risk of fire, these must not be thrown into general waste, recycling bin or used battery boxes provided to various retail locations.

The United States Consumer products safety commission said he received 19 fire reports and explosions related to the recall of the A1263 model earlier this month. It is currently not known if similar reports have been made regarding the other electricity banks that Anker remembers, but given the rapid recall and global climbing, society seems to take concerns seriously.
