Bournemouth Antoine Sememeyo declared the response to his racist abuse report From a Liverpool fan showed football to his best “when he had the most”.
The opening match of the new Premier League season in Anfield Friday evening was briefly interrupted in the first half after Semenyo seems to be targeted by a supporter.
The incident was strongly sentenced by representatives of the two teams, while the first League said it would launch a complete investigation.
Merseyide police also investigate after a 47 -year -old man was ejected from Anfield.
Writing on social networks on Saturday, Semenyo – who scored two goals before Liverpool won a 4-2 victory – said: “Last night in Anfield, I will stay with me forever – not because of a person’s words, but because of the way the whole football family was held together.
“To my teammates @AFCB who supported me at that time, to the players and fans of @liverpoolfc who showed their real character, to the managers of @PREMIERLEAGUE who manipulated it professionally – thank you. Football showed its best side when it mattered the most.
“Mark these two goals seemed to say the only language that really counts on the field. This is why I play – for moments like these, for my teammates, for all those who believe in that this beautiful game can be.
“The overwhelming messages of support from the world of football remind me of why I like this sport. We continue to move forward, together.”
Liverpool’s boss, Arne Slot and Andoni Iraola de Bournemouth, were spoken by referee Anthony Taylor when the Anfield incident occurred, leading to the game’s break.
“I am told via the Premier League match center that Antoine Semenyo was the subject of a racist commentary on the crowd,” reported Sky Sports’ Peter Drury at the time on comments.
Sky Sports’ Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher described the incident as “despicable”, with Neville saying: “This eclipses what should be an incredible night; the first day of the Premier League season, a beautiful day, and this boy (declared to be) abused.
“It’s contemptible. However, it happened. It will continue to happen. It is a sorry state.”
Liverpool captain, Virgil Van Dijk, thinks that football must continue to try to educate the next generation on racism.
“The only thing we can do is to face it by dealing personally with him and try to educate the next generation,” said Van Dijk. “This is the only way to try to throw it, in my opinion.
“I cannot believe it. These things should not happen but unfortunately it is and it is an absolute shame in my eyes.
“First and foremost, these things should never happen in the world, not only football. But in general, racism is not of this world in my opinion, but if we want to be realistic, unfortunately, it still exists and it is the painful side.
“We have to face it in the here and now.”
Van Dijk has offered Semenyo support words, adding: “I am here for Antoine, whenever he needs it and we are here as a club to face the best possible way because it should not happen.
“But we keep each other with him.”
Merseyside police said after the match: “The Merseyside police will not tolerate the crime of hatred of any form. We take incidents like this very seriously, and in cases like this, we will proactively seek football for prohibiting orders, with the club, against the officials.”
The incident occurred two days after Tottenham Mathys Telle received online racist abuses after missing a penalty in the super cup of his team against Paris St Germain.
