Aston Villa would be in talks to sell a classified player of 40 million pounds sterling with Jacob Ramsey in the summer transfer window, with the manager Unai Emery ready to move it.
Ramsey’s fate with the villans comes to his conclusion this summer, in a decision that could undoubtedly share an opinion, since he is a talented player who is still relatively young. The English midfielder heads to Newcastle United in a decision which could possibly a value of 43 million pounds sterling, while he seals a move to one of the Villa‘s Premier league rivals.
It remains to be seen if the sale of Ramsey is the right decision, but if it is not judged a key starter in the future, encouraging it and generation of funds for other signatures before the end of the current transfer window is logical.
Now, it seems that Villa has also sanctioned the release of another player established this summer, following an important update concerning his future.
According to a new report of The shoe room,, Aston Villa is in talks with the Roma for the signing of the winger Leon BaileyWith the journalist Graeme Bailey adding that Emery is happy for him to leave.
“Bailey is that a player that Villa has sought to move forward all summer. Unai Emery has not been satisfied with his progress since he signed his new agreement in 2024 and that is a great reason. Villa and Emery want Bailey to be outside the door, he will not stay and will not play for the club. They also want it to have come out now because it will give them a chance to spend this money.”
It looks at the right time for the £ 40 m Bailey leaves Villa, especially since Emery does not consider him an important part of his plans to move forward.
The 28 -year -old started only 14 of his team’s first league games last season, showing that he was invariably considered a squad player, and this seems unlikely to change in 2025/26.
Bailey does not become younger now, so potentially receive 40 million pounds sterling for him, or an amount around this figure, could ultimately be too good to refuse.
If he leaves before the end of this month, he will remain in the memories as a gifted player who contributed a lot, scoring 22 goals and recording 24 assists, but also who has not always managed to find great consistency in his game.
