At least one killed while the Israeli strikes strike southern Lebanon | News of armed groups

The Lebanese state media report civilian victims after the Israeli attack on residential buildings in Nabatieh.

At least one person was killed and more than a dozen others were injured in Israeli air attacks against southern Lebanon, the Ministry of Health said, when the Israeli army said that it had struck the armed groups of Hezbollah.

On Friday, in a report, the national national public agency of Lebanon cited the country’s Ministry of Health by saying that a woman and 13 other people had been targeted in an air raid which struck a residential building in Nabatieh. Seven others were injured in air raids on the outskirts of the city, he added.

The Israeli army said that its fighters had attacked an underground site used by Hezbollah for its fire and defense system in Belfort, a site of the Nabatieh governorate. The army said that they have identified attempts by the Lebanese group to resume activities there after Israel had put it out of service in the past.

The resumption of activities would have been in violation of the truce of November agreed by the two parties, which arrested more than a year of fire exchanges and almost two months of a total war.

Later Friday, the Israeli army spokesman said the Lebanese reports that an Israeli drone had struck a residential building, causing civil injuries, “were inaccurate.”

In an article on X, Avichay Adraee said that “the explosion that damaged the civilian building was caused by a rocket on the Hezbollah site, which exploded following the Israeli strike”.

He accused Hezbollah of “continuing to store his aggressive rockets near the residential buildings and Lebanese civilians, thus putting them in danger”.

Images shared on social networks and verified by the agency for verifying the facts of Sanad of Al Jazeera, shows large plumes rising from the hill where the Israeli aircraft struck their target, while the roar of the jets is heard above the head.

On Friday, the president of Lebanon Joseph Aoun accused Israel of continuously raping the agreement on the ceasefire in the United States by putting strikes in Lebanon.

The cease-fire agreement stipulates that southern Lebanon must be free from any non-state weapon or fighter, Israeli soldiers must leave south of Lebanon while Lebanese troops deploy there and all fire through the Lebanese-Israeli border must stop.

Israeli troops remain in at least five positions in the Lebanese territory and its Air Force regularly launches air raids, which claims to target rank and deposit members of Hezbollah or people affiliated with the group.
