Caitlin Clark dominates the vote of the fans of the stars of the WNBA – but the players vote its ninth among the guards

The Indiana Caitlin Clark fever goalkeeper is a starter and team captain when the WNBA star match will pay Indianapolis on July 19.

It will not be because of his peers, however.

The voting results for the League’s Star Match were revealed on Monday, and although Clark finished first among the fans ‘voting guards and third in the media vote, she finished ninth at the post on the players’ ballot.

Clark dominated the vote of fans, which represents 50% of the weighted score of a player for ahead of the stars. Its 1,293,536 votes are the most for a player in a single season in the history of the League, and as one of the two best fans’ voters, Clark will be a team captain for the star match.

His peers, however, were apparently not as high on his game.

Voting bulletins include 10 players in total – six in the front area and four in the rear area. Clark finishing ninth means that several players left him entirely their ballot.

The recruit of Dallas Wings, Paige Bueckers, on the other hand, finished fourth in the voting of the players and with a weighted vote higher than Clark.

The recruit of the year 2024 and a selection of the first All-WNBA team last season, Clark had a second second year campaign.

Clark has an average of 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game so far in 2025. She has missed seven of the first 16 games of fever due to an injury, and her score and her shooting at 3 points (29.5%) are both down from last year.

Clark also leads WNBA with 5.9 reversals per night.

The Minnesota Lynx Napheesa collier striker, the top scorer in the league, will be the other captain of the star match, which will take place in Gainbridge Fieldhouse – Clark’s Home Arena – later this month.
