For the first time since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted a partial cease-fire proposed by the United States. The two parties undertook to interrupt attacks against energy infrastructure for a period of 30 days.
However, strikes and drone attacks on both sides continue.
So, is a cease-fire achievable realistic? And how did American foreign policy under Trump affect relations between the two countries?
