Carplay Ultra from Apple is finally here, if you have a new Aston Martin

Apple officially deploys the next generation of Carplay – and that’s called Carplay Ultra. THE The update is available with New Aston Martin Vehicle orders in the United States and Canada, but will be deployed to existing models with infotainment systems supported in the “weeks to come”. Motor manufacturers like Hyundai, Kia and Genesis also work to add Carplay Ultra, according to Apple.

Carplay Ultra also allows drivers to use commands on the screen, physical or SIRI buttons to manage the radio and the climate of a car. He also adds widgets “fueled by the iPhone that adapt perfectly to the screen or the gauge of the car to provide information at a glance.” Carplay Ultra works with the iPhone 12 or more recent with iOS 18.5 or later.

Apple says that Carplay Ultra relies on the previous version of Carplay by providing “information for all driver’s screens”. This includes real -time content and gauges in the instrument group, “with dynamic and beautiful options for the speed counter, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, etc.” Drivers will also be able to display information from their iPhone, such as cards, media, advanced driver assistant systems and tire pressure in the instrument cluster.
