Celtic confirmed the return of Kieran Tierney to a five -year agreement after his departure from Arsenal.
The Scottish defender left Glasgow to join Arsenal in 2019, after going through the ranks of young people to Celtic Park, but signed a pre-contract with hoops earlier this year.
His departure from Arsenal was confirmed last week and he has now committed to the Scottish champions until 2030.
The 28 -year -old, who made his first team debut for Celtic over ten years ago, said on Celticfc.com: “Everyone has been known for a few months and just being here with the Celtic band again feels incredible.
“I spoke with the manager, and obviously I had worked with him before and I am still in contact with him. He is one of the best, so I am so lucky and grateful that he gave me the chance to come back.
“My ambition is just that Celtic is as successful as possible, keeps our place at the top and continues to win trophies and do well for Celtic.”
Tierney made 170 appearances for the hoops during her first spell, winning 10 trophies, including three consecutive triples.
Most of these went under the direction of Brendan Rodgers, who is also in his second visit to Celtic Park.
Rodgers said: “We are delighted to welcome Kieran to the Celtic. He is a high -quality player so talented and of high quality and he will be a massive addition to our team.
“Kieran has always had Celtic in his blood and he is delighted to come back to the place he loves.
“He is someone who has already given Celtic so many things so much and I know that he is so motivated and hungry to help the club bring more and more success to our fans.”
Tierney fell on the hierarchical order in Arsenal after a knee injury at the end of the 2021-222 season and passed the 2023-24 campaign on loan to Real Sociedad.
He made 20 appearances for the Gunners in the second half of the season that has just finished, all except four of the bench.
