The man of Washington who was accused of having provided large amounts of chemicals used in a car outside a Palm Springs, California, fertility clinic last month Was found dead Tuesday morning in a Los Angeles prison, according to the United States Ministry of Justice.
Daniel Park32, was found insensitive Tuesday morning at the metropolitan detention center in Los Angeles, the Doj said. Park was brought to the establishment on June 13 under the status of prelimination after being charged with malicious destruction of goods.
“Respondent employees have initiated safeguard measures,” said the DoJ. “Emergency medical services (EMS) were requested while safeguarding efforts continued.”
Park was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead, said Doj. The officials did not share the cause of the death of Park, but said that the FBI and the American Marshal Service were both informed.
“No employee or other imprisoned person was injured and at any time the public was in danger,” said the Doj.
Park, from Kent, Washington, was arrested in Poland earlier this month after having traveled there after the automobile involvement of May 17 outside the American reproduction centers Clinic at Palm Springs. He was then taken to the United States, where he was accused of providing and attempted to provide material support to a terrorist, the federal prosecutors said.
Prosecutors allegedly allegedly provided 270 pounds of ammonium nitrate, an explosive forerunner commonly used to build homemade bombs in Guy Edward Bartkus, the main suspect in the attack. Bartkus, 25, was killed in the bombing and four other people were injured.
