England has ahead of a final thriller to end its T20 series against India, by making a female record race at Edgbaston of 168 to win the fifth international by five counters.
Danni Wyatt -Hodge (56 out of 37 balls) struck a 21st T20i fifty while celebrating her 300th international cap, the opener – who was abandoned on five – passing England to a leaflet with Sophia Dunkley (46 out of 30) while they shared in their second century stand as a partnership.
The two left in the space of seven bullets, while Tammy Beaumont – after having turned 30 out of 20 – and Amy Jones (10) fell in the final with only six required because suddenly things became tense, but Sophie Ecclestone (4No) struck the winning things from the last ball as India missed a chance of a super more.
