The former governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper, plans to launch a race for the Senate, according to two sources familiar with his plans, by granting Democrats a better candidate in a state which will be at the heart of the majority struggle.
Axios, who announced the news Cooper’s expected offer, said that he should officially participate in the race next week, according to several sources.
Morgan Jackson, Cooper’s best political adviser, would not confirm Cooper’s plans, but said Cooper would share more on his plans in the coming days. Cooper is also Registered as a speaker At the “Unity Dinner” of the Northern Carolina Democratic Party on Saturday.
