Ozzy Osbourne helped invent the heavy metal with Black Sabbath. He then dragged the genre out of his first days loaded with misfortune and in the glitter and the glamor of the rock era of the 1980s arena, becoming a basic MTV food. Along the way, he fought with demons, including alcohol and drugs, while defeating the accusations of being satanist.
However, his attitude “Never Say Die” always kept it under the spotlight, even during the years when Rock was proclaimed dead. He and his wife (and manager), Sharon, transformed their rock life ‘n’ roll into a reality TV sitcom called “The Osbournes”. He also helped establish dozens of music stars through his Ozzfest music festival in the 1990s and 2000s.
He saved what could have been his greatest performance for the end. A few weeks before his death at 76, Osbourne titled “Back at the start”. The HEAVY METAL ALL-STAR concert in the hometown of Birmingham, in England, presented sets of Metallica and Guns N ‘Roses before peaking with performances of the Ozzy group and the Black Sabbath.
“You have no idea what I feel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, ” He said to the crowd of thousands.
