George Kambosos Jr. calls Teofimo Lopez a `stupid ”, requests revenge on neutral lawn, and calls into question Lopez’s desire to settle the score

George Kambosos Jr. says he is open to the fight against a revenge match against Teofimo Lopez on neutral lawn, but he will not do it in his hometown of New York. Kambosos (21-3, 10 kos) does not think that Teofimo wants a revenge match after the way he beat him in a victory for a decision shared in 12 rounds in 2021.

The former unified champion of light weights Kambosos Jr. is headlining this Saturday on Dazn against the replacement opponent Jake Whyllie (16-1, 15 KB) during a 12-round competition at the Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney, Australia. George chose whyllie, and it could be a more difficult fight than many are waiting for him. Wyllie is 24 years old and he has young people and power on his side.

For a revenge match to have a meaning, Teofimo (21-1, 13 ko) must be victorious against Arnold B Barboza Jr. on May 2, then defeat the weight champion Welter Ibf Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in October. If he loses these two fights, it would be useless for Kambosos to face him.
