Sydney Homecoming by George Kambosos Jr has just taken an unexpected turn, not the way he planned. His original opponent, Daud Yordan, was excluded for medical land, letting him rush for a replacement less than a week before the night fight. Enter Jake Wyllie, a Knockout artist from Queensland, 24, who literally planned to sit in the crowd before making the headlines.
Wyllie (16-1, 15 KB) was supposed to be just another fan of the Arena of the Qudos bank, but now he is in the ring with Kambosos for the biggest fight of his career.
“This is what dreams are,” said Wyllie. “I had already organized tickets to come and watch on Saturday and now I fight in the main event.”
It’s a way to save money on a ticket.
“This is an opportunity for a lifetime, and I’m ready to take it with both hands. George has boxed at the highest level, but I am young, ambitious and ready to put everything into play. Expect fireworks! Jake ‘The Machine’ Wyllie arrives. “”
Big Talk, but walking against a former short -term unknown champion is not exactly a recipe for an upheaval. Kambosos was with the best – Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko – while Wyllie eliminated regional opposition.
Kambosos (21-3, 10 KB) is not interested in fairy tales. He treats this as another step towards a title of 140 pound title against the champion of the IBF Richardson Hitchins, and Wyllie is only a name on the CV.
“Boxing is unpredictable, and it is very regrettable that Daud Yordan retired medically five days before the event, but the fierce spectacle continues because there is no show without me,” said Kambosos.
He recognized Wyllie’s identification information but closed any speech on a story of oppressed:
“So, I give Jake the” rocky “blow! The opportunity, but that’s where it ends. It is not a rocky film, do not twist it – there is no happy ending. A fierce statement is what you will see on Saturday evening. Victory by all means.
This is the polished way of saying that Wyllie is shipwrecked.
The Qudos Bank Arena will be thrilled, and although Kambosos-Wyllie is now the main event, the fighting of the world female title provide serious participations:
Matchroom Eddie Hearn, never to avoid beating media, called him “the largest card in Australia this year”.
“First and foremost, we wish Daud Yordan a quick recovery. Now, the young Jake Wyllie arrives in the short term with an opportunity that changes the life of shocking the world and destroying the plans of George Kambosos Jr. He is a dangerous puncture with a growing reputation for feeling of stopping, so expect fireworks this Saturday at the Qudos Bank Arena. Sydney we come – and I can’t wait. “”
