What did Israel accomplished in Iran after 11 days of incessant bombing? Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his declaration recognizing the ceasefire that the Israeli objectives had been achieved. Such a statement seems problematic to say the least.

At the start of the short -term war, he declared two goals: “beheaded the nuclear program” and “change of diet”.

Was the nuclear program beheaded? The answer is probably negative. It seems that Iran has transported cracking equipment outside the installation of Fordow attacked by the United States. This stock is the most important part of the nuclear program, so “decapitation” seems to have failed.

What damage, if necessary, Israel imposed on the Iranian nuclear program? It is not clear. Israel has managed to persuade the United States to attack Iranian nuclear installations using bunker bombs, massive ammunition penetrators (MOPS), but the United States has done nothing else to help the Israeli offensive. The extent of destruction would be difficult to assess because Iran is unlikely to grant external access.

Has Israel generated a “regime change” in Iran? The brief answer is that it made a lot the opposite. Israel tried to trigger an uprising against the regime by killing military leaders from the various Iranian security structures. This strategy is based on the Israeli believing firm that the best way to destabilize an enemy is through assassinations. It never worked. The only possible exception was the effect that the death of Hassan Nasrallah had on Hezbollah in Lebanon, but that had a lot to do with the Lebanese internal political dynamics. In all other cases, Israeli assassinations have failed to create major political change.

In the case of Iran, the assassinations rallied people from the government. Israel murdered senior commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), perhaps the most powerful element of current Iranian politics, but also one of the most hated by the Iranian public. Be that as it may, many Iranians who consider themselves opponents closed to the Islamic Republic and in particular the IRGC found themselves supporting it. The Iranians saw Iran in its entirety under attack and not only “the regime”.

Israel’s attempts to bomb the “diet symbols” only aggravated the situation. He tried to run his air strikes on Evin prison, sadly famous for the torture of political prisoners, as a contribution to the struggle of the Iranian people against the repression of the Islamic Republic. But the bombs of Israel actually aggravated the situation of the prisoners, because the authorities have moved many of them in unknown places.

Bombing the “Israel Doomsday clock”, which the Israelis often use as a demonstration of Iran’s commitment to the destruction of Israel, was simply pathetic.

The Israeli bombardment of the Iranian state diffuser is also absurd. Israel said he was resting the regime’s attempt to spread propaganda. As many Israelis have pointed out, this bombardment gave the Iranians the justification they needed to also threaten Israeli television stations.

If Israel has failed to achieve its declared war objectives, has it at least managed to rally the world behind it, to make the public Gaza forget and again refound Israel as a fighting the right fight? It seems to be at best downside. Certainly President Donald Trump and the United States have struck Iranian nuclear installations. In doing so, they have violated several major rules of international law. This is likely to have long -term implications. However, Trump did not join the war alongside Israel. Immediately after the strike, the strategic bombers returned to the United States.

Before and after carrying out the bombing, Trump iterated and reiterated his desire for an agreement between the United States and Iran, which can also include Israel. It seems likely that the American president has helped Israel serve his own interests as well as those of his allies in the Gulf.

While several world leaders, including the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, quickly supported American strikes and “the right of Israel to defend itself”, no one adopted the strict list of the requests of Israel, which understood that Iran should not be able to enrich uranium.

The world returned to the formula of “no nuclear weapon”, with which Iran had already announced that it was willing to comply.

Regarding the operational development of the Middle East, the world seems to find Iran a legitimate partner to do business. It is a loss for Israel and a victory for Iran.

Very real Israeli heart damage must also be taken into account. Israel very quickly reached air domination over Iran and struck almost at will. The Iranian missiles, however, have repeatedly managed to penetrate the famous Israeli air defense system, to strike at the heart of Israel and across the country, and to put it to stop while inflicting an unprecedented number of victims as well as massive destruction. Israel runs low on interceptors without hope for immediate reconstruction. The Israeli economy stops quickly. It was another triumph for Iran.

Iran came out of the bruised and bombed war, undergoing hundreds of victims and real damage to the incessant attack across the country. But the Islamic Republic has not collapsed, even in the face of a massive Israeli force.

The Iranian missiles struck the house, the image of Iran was not tarnished (it was considered by most of the world as the victim of an Israeli attack), and Iran’s response options have not been seriously limited. Iran has managed to weaken by warning in advance of its “reprisals” for the American strike at its military base in Qatar.

Iran was powerful enough to convince Trump to warn Israel not to attack after the ceasefire seemed to have been raped. Iran has emerged as it prefers to emerge – always standing and with potential for the future.
