To access the Instagram card, you will have to go to section DMS of Instagram, then press the card icon in the upper state icons. The first time you press the card, Instagram will guide you through the way the Instagram card shares your location and why the location services must be activated to operate. Then, if you do not already share your location with Instagram, you will receive a contextual window from your phone asking you if you want to share your location. Taping through this will bring you to the à la carte itself.
Most of the Instagram card is taken by a card displaying your current location, with a lower search bar to search for the location of your friends. Scroll a little and you can see a profile photo marking the current location of a friend or miniature messages marked with a specific location. There are a few basic things you can do with the Instagram card:
Drag and see the messages of friends displayed geographically
Use the search bar to find the current location of a friend or recent tagged messages
Press a friend to be taken to his profile, or a message to see it in full
The Instagram card is mainly informative. This can tell you where your friends are or where they were recently, and let you see the contents depending on where it was published. It’s really not much more complicated than that. Unless you can see your location.
