Iran warns us of the consequences after strikes, says Trump betrayed its voters | News Israel-Iran Conflict

Iran says that the United States will be “solely responsible for the dangerous consequences” of its attacks against Iranian nuclear sitesAdding that US President Donald Trump has “betrayed” American voters by submitting to the wishes of Israel.

During a speech to a meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) in Istanbul on Sunday, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, said that the United States had crossed “a very large red line” by attacking the three nuclear installations of Iran.

Speaking only a few hours after Trump announced that US war planes had “erased” nuclear sites, Araghchi condemned strikes and called on the United Nations Security Council to act.

“This is a scandalous, serious and unprecedented violation of the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and of international law,” he said, adding that the American administration “warm and without law” will be “only responsible for dangerous consequences and the major implications of its act of aggression”.

“The American military attack on the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of a Member State of the United Nations was carried out in collusion with the Israeli genocidal regime once again revealed the extent of the hostility of the United States towards the inhabitants of peace,” he said.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran continues to defend the territory, sovereignty and people of Iran, and by all the necessary means not only against the American military aggression, but also the reckless and illegal actions of the Israeli regime.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who degenerated the Middle East conflict By launching strikes on Iran on June 13, congratulated Trump’s “daring decision” to hit Iran’s nuclear sites and said that Israel and the United States had acted in “full coordination”.

After the strikes, Trump said that Iran “should now agree to end this war” and that, in no case, Iran could have a nuclear weapon.

But Araghchi said any request for a return to negotiations On the country’s nuclear program was “out of words”. The United States and Iran engaged in nuclear talks before Israel launched a surprise strike on Iran-publicly supported by the United States-earlier this month.

Iran denies that its uranium enrichment program is for something other than civil ends, rejecting Israeli allegations that it secretly develops nuclear weapons. Netanyahu undertook to continue the attacks for “as many days as that” to prevent Iran from developing a “nuclear threat”.

“The world must not forget that it is the United States that – in the midst of a process to forge a diplomatic result – have betrayed diplomacy by supporting the launch of the Israeli genocidal regime of an illegal war of aggression in the Iranian nation,” said Araghchi.

“So we were in diplomacy, but we were attacked. They gave an green light to the Israelis, if they did not ask them, to attack the nuclear installations of Iran. They have proven that they are not men of diplomacy, and they only understand the language of threat and force. ”

The US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, said on Sunday that he still hoped that Iran would return to the negotiating table.

“I can only confirm that there are public and private messages delivered to Iranians in several channels, which gives them all opportunities to come to the table,” he told journalists.

Trump also “betrayed” American voters

Araghchi too accused Trump To betray not only Iran, but also its own supporters. He said Trump had been elected on a platform for developing America’s expensive participation in “Forever Wars”.

“He betrayed not only Iran by abusing our commitment to diplomacy, but also deceived his own voters by submitting to the wishes of a sought -after war criminal who got used to exploiting the life and wealth of American citizens to advance the objectives of the Israeli regime,” said Araghchi, referring to Netanyahu.

Iran says that more than 400 people were killed and at least 3,056 others injured since Israel launched its attacks on June 13. In Israel, at least 24 people were killed in Iranian strikes.

Araghchi said he would go to Moscow later Sunday and organize “serious consultations” with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday morning following unprecedented American strikes.

“Russia is a friend of Iran and we enjoy a strategic partnership,” he said in Istanbul. “We always consult ourselves and coordinate our positions.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s delegation at the UN also officially called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Sunday to discuss American strikes. In a letter subject to the Council transported by the FARS news agency, the Iranian delegation urged “immediate action and the adoption of necessary measures within the framework of the United Nations Charter”.

“Silence in the face of such a blatant aggression will plunge the world into an unprecedented level of danger and chaos,” Araghchi told Istanbul. “Humanity has come too far as a species to allow a tyrant without law to bring us back to the jungle law.”
