Israel and Iran accept a precarious truce after almost two weeks of fighting. New York voters have reached the elections of the mayor’s primary. And the defense in the Sean “Diddy” trial should not call witnesses.
Here’s what you need to know today.
Israel accused Iran of what he described as A “serious violation” of President Donald Trump’s ceasefire – An accusation that Iran denies. Addressing journalists early Tuesday morning, Trump acknowledged that Iran and Israel had violated the agreement and warned Israel not to launch another attack on Iran in an article on Truth Social.
The precarious truce was reached earlier when Israel and Iran said they had accepted a cease-fire offered by Trump almost two weeks after Israel launched air strikes for the first time. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country had achieved “all the objectives” of its military operations in Iran and therefore accepted the terms of the truce. Trump announced a “full and total ceasefire” on social networks yesterday afternoon and said that when he entered into force “war will be considered as finished”. In an exclusive telephone interview with NBC News’ Yamiche Alcindor, Trump said the ceasefire would last “forever”. When asked if the war was completely over, Trump said, “Yes. I don’t think they will be held again on each other.”
An informed diplomat of talks said that the agreement was the result of Trump negotiations, the vice-president JD Vance and the senior Qatari officials who made the proposal in Iran. Earlier, Iran launched a reprisals at the Al Udeid air base in Qatar, where thousands of American troops are stationed. No victim has been reported. Experts said the strike seemed to be designed to avoid triggering massive climbing with the United States, experts and former officials said.
The 12 days of strikes between Israel and Iran killed at least 400 people and injured 3,000 in Iran, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health, while Iran’s retaliation strikes on Israel killed at least 24 people.

It is the ballot day in New York, where voters will vote in the mayor’s primaries. It is possible that there is no clear conclusion at the end of the night on which will appear on the final ballot in November for two reasons: first, the use by the city of the classified choice vote means that it will take more time to count the ballots; And secondly, it is possible that a Democratic finalist will take place in the general elections on the voting line of a different party.
However, we know that the one who prevails during this election will be against the mayor Eric Adams, who presents himself to the re -election in the fall as an independent, and Curtis Silwa, who is without opposition as a republican candidate.
There are 11 candidates on today’s voting bulletin, including the favorite Andrew Cuomo, the former governor of a return tour. Its competitors have rallied around the slogan “Do not classify Cuomo” which encourages voters to leave it from the ballot, whatever the alternative candidates they prefer. Other candidates to monitor include the progressive legislator of the Zohran Mamdani State, who saw a late increase in the competition, and the city controller Brad Lander, whose arrest last week while pleading for defendants in the immigration court could also give him a late increase. Here is what else to look in the competition.

Federal prosecutors in the SEAN Musical Magnat “Diddy” Combs “should rest their case today, and his defense team intends to offer no witness – a decision that is unexpected but not unusual, according to legal experts. “So what you can hear the defense lawyer saying during closing arguments is that witnesses of the accusation made our cause. We did not have the burden to prove our case, and the counter-interrogation of their witnesses clearly shows that we are right and that they are wrong,” said Mitchell Epner, a former federal prosecutor in New York. Not calling Combs on the stand in his own defense is another strategy that his team will bet, said Mark Zauderer, a veteran lawyer for trial and call in New York.
In recent weeks, prosecutors have argued and called witnesses in their efforts to convince the jurors that the Combs have embarked on the racket conspiracy and other crimes. Combs pleaded not guilty. Three women testified against Combs, including her ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura. Meanwhile, the key testimony of rapper Kid Cudi, a former personal assistant and another former Combs employee can have an advanced case of prosecutors, according to experts. For many Iranians of the diaspora in the world, the war between Israel and Iran has raised complicated feelings of sorrow and anxiety alongside hope. I spoke to the Iranians of the United States, the United Kingdom and Israel whose families fled Iran to escape the oppression of the regime which took power in 1979. They expressed that if many Iranians in the country and abroad dare to hope for the collapse of the regime, There is also a feeling of crushing fear Around civilian victims and uncertainties of foreign intervention. – AngelaCulture & Trends Reporter
