Israeli forces kill dozens of Palestinians looking for Gaza help, say health officials

While the Israeli army designates specific routes during certain hours to access the sites, a large part of the area surrounding the installations is considered a combat zone outside of these times. And although the GHF warned the Palestinians to avoid trying to access the sites outside of operating hours, many through the enclave believe that they have no choice but to walk for hours during the night and in the morning to reach the distribution zones early enough to guarantee part of the limited help available.

Many always leave them hungry after failing to reach the sites early.

After putting an end to the blockade, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said only “basic aid” would be allowed to enter Gaza. He did not develop.

Humanitarian groups have warned that in a population of around 2.1 million, aid distributed so far is a drop in the ocean of what is necessary. The United Nations and humanitarian organizations condemned the new distribution program, saying that it has put Palestinian lives in danger while also undergoing a long -standing aid framework in the enclave.

Before the start of the war, around 500 trucks carrying aid and goods entered the enclave daily, according to the British Red Cross and other humanitarian groups. Since then, the help flow has been incoherent, grinding at the end of the blockade of Israel.

Israel launched its offensive after the October 7 attacks led by Hamas, in which some 1,200 people were killed and around 250 hostage, according to Israeli officials, marking a major escalation in a decade conflict.

Since then, more than 55,000 people, including thousands of children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to the local Ministry of Health, with a large part of the destroyed enclave.
