District prosecutor Michael Morrissey returns against Karen Read defense allegations

In a long, August 25, 2023, video declaration, prosecutor of the Norfolk district Michael Morrissey denied that any fight has occurred in Albert’s house at night, O’Keefe died. Eleven people had made statements saying that they had not seen the officer entering the house, he said, and “zero people” said they had seen. O’Keefe’s phone data that was found under his body, Morrissey said: “Show that his phone did not enter this house.”

Accusing one of the witnesses of the murder was “scandalous,” added the prosecutor. In addition, he said, Proctor did not have the opportunity to plant evidence or reasons to do so. (Read said that she had cracked her rear light by withdrawing from the garage to get O’Keefe, but allegedly alleged that he was broken until his vehicle was in police custody.) Proctor did not have a “close personal relationship” with anyone involved in the investigation, said Morrissey, and “each contrary suggestion is a lie”.

Prosecutor Lally immersed himself against a defense request to obtain texts of text, calls and messages on social networks between Proctor’s wife and Brian Albert’s sister-in-law Jennifer McCabeOne of the people to read when O’Keefe’s body was found. Lally said during a judicial hearing in January 2024: “As the Commonwealth understands, the soldier Proctor has a sister, who has a friend, who has a sister, who has a husband, who has a brother, who has a woman, who has a sister who is Jennifer McCabe.”
