Key players get involved in UNSC at the “Perilous Tour” of the American-Israeli-Iralder conflict | Conflict news

Tensions soar to the UN as Iran, the allies condemn American military action, while we, Israel, reject censorship.

The United Nations Security Council convened an emergency session following strikes led by the United States on Iranian nuclear sitesProviding net reprimands from several Member States and renewed calls to a cease-fire in the Middle East, while the Israel allies and the United States welcomed the attack.

Russia, China and Pakistan have proposed a resolution requiring an “immediate and unconditional ceasefire”, according to familiar diplomats with the project broadcast on Sunday. Although the proposal does not explicitly name the United States or IsraelHe condemns attacks against Iranian nuclear installations. A vote has not yet been planned.

To succeed, the resolution requires the support of at least nine members and no veto of the five permanent members-the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China, which makes it a non-beginner since the United States does not censor.

Addressing the Council, the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres warned that the region was held “on the verge of a deadly downward spiral”.

“The bombing of Iranian nuclear installations by the United States marks a perilous turn in a region which is already in shock,” said Guterres. “We are now likely to descend into a reprisal rathole after reprisals. We must act – immediately and decisively – to stop fighting and return to serious and supported negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program. ”

The acting American ambassador Dorothy Shea defended the military action, declaring that Washington had moved to dismantle the capacity of enrichment of Iran to protect its citizens and its allies.

“Time finally came for the United States, to defend its ally and our own interests, to act decisively,” Shea told the House. “Iran should not degenerate … Any Iranian, direct or indirect attack, against the Americans or the American bases, will meet with devastating reprisals.”

Iran’s ambassador Ali Bahreini said that Israeli and American attacks against Iran did not come “in a vacuum”, adding that they are the result of “politically motivated actions” of the United States and its European partners.

He said the United States “had decided to destroy diplomacy” and clearly indicated that the Iranian army would decide on “timing, nature and scale” of its response.

Meanwhile, Israel’s UN envoy Danny Danon said that the attacks had made people “a safer place”, rejecting calls to conviction. “It is up to the Iranian people to decide, not for us,” he said when we asked him if Israel supported the change of diet in Tehran

China’s ambassador, FU Cong, condemned American strikes and urged the restraint. “We call an immediate ceasefire,” he said. “China is deeply concerned about the risk that the situation becomes uncontrollable.”

Russia’s UN envoy, Vasily Nebenzya, described attacks as another sign of Washington’s contempt for global standards. “The United States has opened a Pandora box,” he said. “No one knows what disaster or suffering will follow.”

Pakistan Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad also condemned American bombing, a profoundly disturbing calling. “The sharp increase in tensions and violence following the Israeli assault and illegal actions is deeply disturbing,” he said. “Pakistan is in solidarity with the government and the fraternal people of Iran during this difficult period.” It came the day after Pakistan suggested that US President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Nobel.

Trump’s announcement that American forces had “erased” the main nuclear sites of Iran has marked the most important Western military action against Tehran since the 1979 Revolution.

The chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, told the council that if the extent of underground damage remains uncertain, the impact craters were visible on the Fordow enrichment site. The entries of the Isfahan tunnels seemed to have been struck, while Natanz – a target of Israeli sabotage for a long time – had been touched again.

Iran has castigated gross to have been an accomplice to open the way to Israel and the United States to attack it.

The Council of Governors of the United Nations Watching has approved a resolution Declare Iran does not conform With its commitment to international nuclear guarantees the day before the launch of Israel on June 13.
