Lando Norris says he will take his collision with Oscar Piastri “on the chin” and “spend” two days after having crashed from the Canadian Grand Prix.
Norris underwent his first retreat in almost 12 months after hitting the back of his McLaren teammate in their fight for fourth.
The 23 -point lead by the British pilot on Piastri after the Australian Grand Prix for the opening of the season turned into a 22 -point deficit before the F1 race next week in Austria.
“What happened and I regretted it at the time and I apologized for that,” said Norris Sky Sports News in New York before the premiere of the F1 Fill.
“Unfortunately, it’s also the race. I take it on the chin and I have a step. I have to look at the next race and see how I can do a better job and not do these silly mistakes sometimes.
“There are a lot of positive points and I will make sure to look at them and rely on what I have because once I have had a good rhythm, I am sure I will be very happy.”

Norris immediately called his crash “stupid” on the radio and accepted the blame for his first teammate confrontation since he joined F1 in 2019.
The director of the Andrea Stella team admitted that the incident “could have an impact on the confidence of Norris”, but McLaren will bring her “full support”.

Villeneuve: Norris is now the oppressed
Norris entered the season as a joint favorite with Max Verstappen, who is 43 points from the leader of the Piastri championship.
The piastri race of eight consecutive podiums, which ended in Montreal, including five victories, made him the driver to beat, the 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve thinks that Norris is still the faster driver over a race distance.
