The Hull FC ran in seven trials in a 38-6 victory against the Betfred Super League Salford Betfred Super League club.

The Red Devils only dragged 14-6 at halftime and could consider themselves a little unhappy to be late, but Hull fled in the second half to give Salford a consecutive 11th defeat.

Sam Stone’s departure on loan from Warrington allowed Salford to call up to four new faces this week in Dan Russell, Cain Robb, Tom Whitehead and Kobe without a carpet, and all were in the team while Paul Rowley’s men at least made the competitive match after a chain of unilateral defeats.

Hull also had a point to prove after a shock loss against Castleford last Friday, and they were immediately tested in defense while Salford has published strongly.

Davy Litten takes a break
