The world n ° 2, Carlos Alcaraz, suffered an outing at the start of the Miami Open after David Goffin won an impressive return victory.
Goffin joined a set to win a 5-7 6-4 6-3 victory against Alcaraz, who fell to his second defeat in as many games after being also beaten by Jack Draper at Indian Wells last week.

Earlier in the day, the champion six times Novak Djokovic made his long-awaited Miami return and beat the Australian Rinky Hijikata 6-0 7-6 (7-1) to reach the third round.
