Two open -air graduation ceremonies in Paterson, New Jersey, detained during a dangerous heat wave ended with more than 100 people receiving treatment and some being taken to hospital, the authorities said.
Paterson Fire Division said that he had treated around 50 people at the Hinchliffe stadium on Monday during the first secondary graduation ceremony. Nine people were transported to the hospital, the fire service said in a statement.
During a second ceremony later in the day, a hundred people ended up needing treatment and seven were transported to hospital, according to the fire service.
