More Thunder continued its brilliant summer during the update for an impressive victory in the visit of Malta Hungerford Stakes in Newbury.

“I think it is quite effective if it is its best on a slower field and it was fun. He did very well and beat a horse that won a good race the last time, so I hope that the shape is strong and he won comfortably so I am delighted.”

More Thunder has a crowd of high -ranking entries at distances ranging from six stadiums to a mile later in the season and with the group two secure honors, the manager of Somerville Lodge raised the possibility of going to the highest level before the end of the year.

“I would say that all the options are open for him,” said Haggas. “We are in everything, from six stadiums to a mile and he has won a group two now, so we have to opt for another group two or a group one and it will depend on the number of additional races that we will give it this season.

“He won at the Craven and Guinea meeting, so he has been traveling for some time, so we will have to see.

“We have to make plans, will he remove or run again at the age of five? So, we have a lot to think-but it’s a good thought.”
