Chelsea withdraws from the proposed loan agreement of Nicolas Jackson in Bayern Munich, Sky Sports News understand.
Chelsea asked Jackson to return from Germany after Liam Delap underwent an injury in the 2-0 victory on Saturday in Fulham.
Delap will be sidelined for several weeks due to an injury to the hamstring, leaving Joao Pedro as the only attacker recognized at the club.
Chelsea had accepted record loan fees of 13 million pounds from Bayern for Jackson, with an option to buy the 24 -year -old for 56.2 million pounds sterling.
“The injury does not seem good. He was at full speed, the hamstrings. This requires weeks,” said Maresca at his press conference after the match.
“In terms of another striker, we have just finished the game. Since the locker room, I have come here. Now we will see if we make decisions.”
In Jackson’s future, Maresca added: “When you have two attackers, it’s enough. When you are injured, it’s probably not enough.”
