A man from the Northern Dakota was charged after allegedly sent violent threats to a federal prosecutor and cited the deadly shooting of the weekend of the weekend of The representative of the state of Minnesota, Melissa Hortman and her husband.
Charles Dalzell, a 46 -year -old man from St. Thomas, was arrested on Monday by FBI agents and accused of interstate threats and threats against a federal official. It is not immediately clear if he has kept a lawyer.
According to the federal criminal complaint, Dalzell would have sent an email on Sunday evening via an obscure address to a “JP” from the United States prosecutor’s office for the Dakota district of the North. The deposit did not identify JP by name.
The email, which identified Dalzell as the sender, referred to the deadly shots of Hortman and her husband, indicates the complaint.
“Now, I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t want this situation to end like Minnesota during the weekend, do yourself,” said the e-mail, according to the complaint. “I try to do you all to follow the law, do not ignore myself, do not lie to myself, not be wrong and make it for design (sic) my time that I do not have.”
“This is what you all did and it makes me ask me if these bad situations are really what you want or do you hope that I turn around and that I find myself dead by a police officer?” The email added, indicates the complaint.
Hortman, 55, and her husband, Mark Hortman, were fatally killed in their Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, at home early On Saturday morning in what the authorities called a political motivation attack. In this case, the shooting suspect had first opened fire on the state senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette Hoffman, and went to other state politicians.
The Sunday email said that Dalzell should have money after a court victory. According to the complaint, he said that he had expressed his concerns concerning his legal affair towards the federal elected officials but that he had been ignored, and the police “tried to silence him so that the civil servants could engage in corruption
The complaint said Dalzell said two police officers told him that civil servants were not interested in helping him and that he was about to go to prison.
“Dalzell blamed JP, among other things, for having lied to him,” said the complaint.
“The simple fact of wondering what a lawyer manufacturer and a representative were killed and a dead man in Minnesota and one thing comes to my mind, something like that does not fall from heaven now … I certainly do not do threats, but when legislators make laws and the state does not follow the laws they have created, that would probably not wrap some people …” The electronic mail said.
The email would have continued by saying: “I do not know the details in this minnesota case, but a representative and a legislator were killed and one of them is dead and you all mentioned above essentially avoids your responsibility and this creates bad situations.”
“I am done with me by ignoring myself, I ended up with prison threats and accusations … It has repaired the Decor of God better on Monday morning, which is tomorrow because I want to avoid more problems and I don’t want the Dakota of the North to be found like Minnesota and no, it is not a threat (JP), it is a fact and a statement,” added the complaint.
Dalzell would have appointed two officials and a judge, who, according to him, did not effectively accomplish their functions. He continued saying that he would not back down “until (he is) reimbursed,” said the complaint.
The criminal complaint noted that the same e-mail address had been studied for a threat by email against the American prosecutor’s office for the Dakota Northern District on February 26, 2024.
In this case, the e-mail listed the sender as “Chuck Miller” and the writer described undergoing legal dispute.
This email said: “I am on the edge of the fuck.” He then asked for help “before losing control”.
Dalzell would then have seemed to threaten violence.
“I do not ask for help, I demand it because honestly, nobody to anyone, it goes bad because I am completely surrounded and there is a word that starts with a V and ends with a t and a little looks like the violin and that’s where it is heading if I do not receive help,” said email, according to the complaint.
That day of the February email, the FBI interviewed Dalzell in a residence by St. Thomas. The complaint indicates that he was confronted with e-mail referring to violence and told the FBI that he had sent this to the state and said he wanted aid in the legal situation of his property.
Dalzell told the FBI that “if he wanted to go shoot in a place, he would not announce it. He told the police that he did not have access to firearms,” said the complaint.
Dalzell is scheduled for the court for his first appearance at 5 p.m. he.
