Ny Teen killed a jet ski accident in Florida during his family vacation

A New York teenager died in a jet ski accident while on family vacation in Florida.

Rachel Aliza Nisanov, 13, was driving on Tuesday with his sister in the intracoastal waterway of Fort Lauderdale when their motorcycle crashed, according to his family and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

The preliminary report of the FWC said that the motomarin exploited by adolescents has lost control and collided with a concrete quay.

Fort Lauderdale Fire and Rescue said that 911 calls came around 3.30 p.m., signaling the water accident near the 2800 court of the 24th court. The two girls were transported to the Broward Health Medical Center, where Rachel died of injuries.

The 16 -year -old sister, Aviva Bracha Nisanov, who was driving the Jet Ski, remains in critical but stable condition, NBC Miami reported.

The family trip to Florida was to celebrate the graduation of Rachel, his brother Yonah Nisanov told the affiliate. He remembered his sister as “just a nice person … a spiritual person. Happy, always an additional effort ”.

“They returned to the platform from what I understand, and they lost control and they hit the platform, and they are both stolen and hit the quay,” said Yonah.

Yonah recalled that their father – Shlom Nisanov, a well -known rabbi in New York – was also on a motorcycle at the time of the accident. After seeing the accident, he jumped in the water, trying desperately to save his daughters.

“My father does not even know how to swim, he jumped inside, my sisters were unconscious, their life jackets were lit, they were lying flat and my father jumped into it and scratched his hands, his feet, his back everywhere to save them, and he did what he could and thank God for them, and the other did not do, said Yonah.

“And we do not understand why it happened, but we believe that is what is supposed to be, and God will give us the strength to go ahead and strengthen ourselves,” he added.

Rachel’s body was transported by plane to New York, where funeral will be held on Thursday before his body was transported by plane in Israel and buried in Jerusalem.

The owner of the motoromarin company involved said that the sisters, their parents and a supervision employee were on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.

The owner told NBC Miami only if Florida’s law requires that a person is at least 14 years old to operate a motorcycle, he needs a driver to be at least 16 years old, like Aviva.

Fort Lauderdale and the FWC police investigate the accident.
