Oleksandr Usyk could be on the verge of retirement and Daniel Dubois is determined to Icher on the edge.
Usyk and Dubois are fighting for the world’s undisputed heavyweight championship at the Wembley stadium next month.
But only this week, it appeared that the Usyk had separated from the long -term promoter Alexander Krassyuk. Dubois interprets that, as an index, the Ukrainian is about to leave sport.
Dubois, looking for revenge after losing his first fight with Usyk in 2023, expects the opponent to end Usyk’s career. He thinks that their fight on July 19 could be the last fight that Usyk has.
“Probably, maybe yes, I’m going there to do as much damage as possible,” said Dubois Sky Sports.
“These things happen for a reason and I’m just going to be ready to remove the titles. But all these things happen for a reason.”
Dubois will interpret retirement by contemplating as a weakness of its rival champion. Often, fighters who have an eye on their exit can be vulnerable to determined and younger opposition.
Nevertheless, beating Usyk would be a monumental achievement. The brilliant Ukrainian is an Olympic gold medalist who has never lost professional competition. He has already obtained a place in the Pantheon of Sport.

Usyk has established himself as the best heavyweight of that time with two breathtaking victories on Tyson Fury last year, who understood that the Ukrainian became the undisputed world champion of the division, a status he had already detained in Cruiserweight.

“It’s a very talented heavyweight,” said Ali Walsh Sky Sports. “My grandfather also had 6 feet 3 feet. The boxers of the heavyweight division are now 6 feet five to 6 new feet now. So, so that he does it in a drawback, I would certainly consider him as a legend.”

“These guys were hard guys. You had my grandfather, you had Joe Frazier, you had George Foreman, Sonny Liston. All these guys were only killers. And I am not saying that they are not today but I have the impression that at the time, everyone fought everyone. Today, it does not take time to make it happen.
“If the money is in place, then it happens. At the time, it was going now, we are fighting. I think the biggest difference is really a thing of mind.”
